Simulation

The use of modern calculation and simulation tools represents the basic conditions for an effective and target-oriented system and component development. Methods and programs are available at APC for the 3D CFD optimisation of aerodynamic components of a turbocharging system as well as for 1D investigations on the two-way turbocharge-related interaction of the engine and the exhaust gas turbocharger with stationary and transient problems. The necessary model quality ensures a continual validation of the simulation models in comparison to real measurement results of turbocharger hot gas and engine test benches.
